StorySwitch is a mobile + web AI storytelling app for kids ages 4–9 that turns short, parent-approved prompts into illustrated, narrated bedtime stories with safe branching choices. Parents pick the themes, reading level, length, and “no-go” topics (violence, romance, brand names), then hand the device to the child to make choices every few pages. The app generates consistent characters and visuals across chapters, and saves “family canon” so kids can revisit the same world without weird plot resets. It includes a strict content filter, offline playback for finished stories, and a weekly parent report showing what topics kids gravitate toward. Brutal reality: you’re not competing with “no content,” you’re competing with YouTube, Disney, and free story apps—so the product must be faster, safer, and more parent-trustworthy than the alternatives.
