StorySwitch

StorySwitch is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that generates short, illustrated bedtime stories tailored to a child’s age, sensitivities, and your household rules (no violence, no monsters, no romance, specific morals, preferred characters, etc.). Parents set a “Family Story Filter” once, then kids pick themes (space, animals, sports) and the app creates a 3–7 minute story with optional read-aloud narration and a simple discussion prompt at the end. The AI is constrained: it only uses vetted story templates, a curated vocabulary by age band, and strict content policies to reduce weird or inappropriate outputs. It also supports “repeatable series” so kids can revisit the same characters without the story quality collapsing. Monetization is a subscription with a limited free tier. This is an AI + traditional app combination.
