StoryThread

StoryThread is a web + desktop (Premiere/Resolve-friendly) AI-assisted story editor for documentary teams drowning in interviews. You upload transcripts (or generate them), then build a “story spine” by tagging claims, themes, characters, and chronology. The app automatically links every beat to exact timecode ranges and source files, so editors can pull selects without hunting. It also flags continuity risks (conflicting dates, name spellings, timeline gaps) and generates a living paper edit that stays synced as transcripts change. This is not a full NLE replacement; it’s the missing layer between research and edit. Expect some manual cleanup—AI won’t understand nuance perfectly—but it will cut the grunt work of organizing, searching, and assembling a first-pass narrative structure.
