StoryWill is a mobile + web app that helps families capture practical, emotionally meaningful “if something happens” guidance without turning it into a full legal estate-planning product. Users record short voice/video messages and attach structured checklists (accounts to close, people to call, preferences for memorials, childcare routines, pet care, medical wishes) and can grant timed or role-based access to specific relatives. The app nudges users to update quarterly and supports “handoff packets” for caregivers during illness or travel. It also includes a lightweight document vault for non-legal files (insurance PDFs, IDs, contact lists) and a shared family directory. This is not a will replacement; it’s a clarity tool that reduces family conflict and decision paralysis. The product succeeds only if it’s dead-simple, secure, and respectful—no gimmicks, no social feed, no forced collaboration.
