StrapCheck
StrapCheck is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that helps athletes get reliable readings from wearables by diagnosing fit and placement issues in real time. It connects to common heart-rate straps, watches, and arm bands via Bluetooth and runs a short guided “signal quality test” during warm-up. The app flags likely problems—too loose, dry electrodes, wrong strap position, cadence lock, low battery, firmware mismatch—and gives step-by-step fixes with quick retests. It also logs which fixes worked for each device so users can repeat a proven setup. This is not a new tracker; it’s a troubleshooting layer that makes existing gear actually usable. Expect blunt feedback: if your device is junk for your sport/body type, it will tell you and recommend alternatives based on aggregated outcomes, not affiliate hype.
