StrapProof

StrapProof is a mobile + web app that helps collectors and boutiques verify, document, and resell luxury watch straps with confidence. The core is a simple “digital passport” for each strap: photos, measurements, purchase source, condition grading, and a tamper-evident ownership history. It supports optional NFC/QR tags that a seller can attach to the strap packaging (not the strap itself) to link to the passport. The app also includes a standardized condition checklist (stitching, edge paint, buckle wear, odor/water damage) and a resale-ready listing generator for Chrono24/eBay/forums. This is not magic: it won’t perfectly authenticate every strap brand. Instead, it reduces fraud by making provenance and condition transparent, and by flagging high-risk listings using pattern checks (image similarity to known counterfeit catalogs, inconsistent measurements, suspicious seller behavior). Monetization: subscriptions for dealers + per-passport fees for high-volume sellers.
