StrapSentry

StrapSentry is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that helps athletes and teams detect early signs of wearable and sensor failure—loose straps, degraded heart-rate accuracy, battery health decline, and intermittent Bluetooth dropouts—before a race or training block. It runs quick guided “gear checks” that compare today’s sensor behavior against your baseline: HR signal stability during a 60-second step test, accelerometer noise at rest, GPS drift in a short walk, and connection quality near your phone and watch. The app then gives a simple pass/fail score, likely causes, and practical fixes (tighten placement, clean contacts, firmware update, replace strap, avoid interference). It also tracks consumables (chest strap electrodes, adhesive patches) and reminds users when performance trends suggest replacement. This is a traditional app with light AI for anomaly detection and personalized thresholds, not a magical coach.
