StreamScout

StreamScout is a mobile + web app that tracks streaming originals across major platforms and helps users decide what to watch next without endless scrolling. It aggregates release calendars, critic/audience signals, and “similar-to” recommendations, then filters them by your actual constraints: time available, mood, genre tolerance, language, and whether you’re willing to start an unfinished season. The app focuses on originals specifically, because that’s where catalogs change fastest and marketing noise is highest. Users can follow showrunners, actors, and franchises to get alerts when new originals drop. It also supports household profiles so one person’s taste doesn’t pollute everyone else’s feed. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for tracking/alerts and AI for personalized ranking and natural-language discovery (e.g., “smart, dark sci-fi under 45 minutes per episode”).
