StreamSentry

StreamSentry is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that monitors live streams and VOD pipelines end-to-end—ingest, transcoding, packaging, CDN delivery, and playback—using real “synthetic viewers” in multiple regions. It continuously plays your streams on headless players, measures startup time, buffering, bitrate drops, audio/video sync, DRM/license failures, ad-stitching errors, and 4xx/5xx spikes, then alerts with a clear root-cause guess (CDN POP issue, encoder drift, manifest errors, DRM outage). It also tracks SLA reports per event and generates postmortems with timelines and impacted viewers. This is not a consumer streaming app; it’s reliability tooling for teams who lose money and reputation when streams fail. The MVP focuses on a few platforms (HLS/DASH) and a small set of regions, then expands to more devices and deeper QoE analytics.
