StripeSnout

StripeSnout is a mobile + web AI app that identifies dogs (and later cats) using noseprint photos—the unique ridge patterns on a pet’s nose. Shelters, vet clinics, and rescue groups can snap a photo, get a match score against their private database, and instantly pull the animal’s record (owner contact, medical notes, bite history, intake details). It also supports “found pet” workflows: a citizen uploads a nose photo, the system searches participating organizations’ databases, and routes a verified match to the right shelter without exposing personal data. Realistically, accuracy depends heavily on photo quality and a sufficiently large local database, so the product focuses on operational value: reducing duplicate intakes, preventing mistaken identity, and speeding reunification. The business model is B2B SaaS per location, with optional community portal access for municipalities.
