StudyHandoff

StudyHandoff is a web + desktop companion app that fixes the messy “who owns this study?” problem between modalities, PACS/RIS, teleradiology, and reading groups. It ingests HL7/FHIR orders and DICOM metadata, then creates a lightweight, auditable handoff ticket per study: assigned reader, priority, due time, clinical question, and missing-info checklist. It flags common blockers (no prior comparison, wrong laterality, missing order indication, incomplete series) and routes tasks to the right team (tech, file room, radiologist, IT). The product is not a PACS replacement; it sits beside existing systems and focuses on operational reliability: fewer phone calls, fewer lost studies, fewer SLA breaches. It includes simple dashboards by site/modality, escalation rules, and a “handoff timeline” for compliance and dispute resolution. Realistically, integration and change management are the hard parts, not the UI.
