StupaRoute

StupaRoute is a mobile app (with a lightweight web admin) for Buddhist pilgrimage sites that focuses on what actually breaks trips: unreliable info, connectivity gaps, and confusing on-site practices. It provides offline-first maps for major circuits (India/Nepal/Sri Lanka/Thailand/Japan), verified opening hours and closure alerts, and step-by-step etiquette/ritual guides tailored to each site (e.g., circumambulation direction, photography rules, donation norms). A small AI layer summarizes long travel advisories and translates key phrases, but the core value is human-verified data and downloadable packs per region. Monetization is realistic: sell offline “Pilgrim Packs” and a modest subscription for frequent travelers (alerts + multi-language). This is not a social network and not a generic travel app; it’s a practical field guide designed for low-signal environments and culturally sensitive navigation.
