StupaSignal
StupaSignal is a mobile app (with a lightweight web admin portal) for Buddhist pilgrimage sites that prioritizes what travelers actually struggle with: unreliable, fragmented, and outdated on-the-ground information. It provides offline-first site guides (hours, entry rules, dress norms, local etiquette), verified route notes (walking paths, transport options, safety advisories), and practical logistics (restrooms, water, shade, accessibility, scams to avoid). The core is a community update system where trusted local contributors and partner monasteries can post changes, closures, festival crowd levels, and temporary restrictions. An AI layer helps summarize recent updates into “what changed since last week” and translates key notices into the user’s language, but it does not invent facts—everything is sourced to a contributor or official post. Monetization is via a modest subscription for offline packs and premium alerts, plus B2B partnerships with tour operators.
