StyleSnapAR

StyleSnapAR is a mobile AI app that identifies residential architecture styles from a photo and explains the “why” in plain language. Users snap a facade, and the app labels likely styles (e.g., Craftsman, Tudor Revival, Mid-century Modern) with confidence scores, key features detected (roofline, window muntins, porch columns), and a short timeline and regional context. It also suggests renovation-safe guidelines: what elements define the style, what common remodel mistakes ruin it, and era-appropriate alternatives for windows, siding, colors, and landscaping. The app is intentionally practical: it generates a one-page “Style Brief” you can share with contractors or realtors, plus a checklist for curb-appeal improvements that won’t clash with the home’s character. Monetization is subscription plus paid “Style Brief” exports. Realistically, accuracy will be imperfect on mixed/renovated homes, so the app includes a “human review” upsell via vetted architecture students.
