SubGrantOps

SubGrantOps is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for state/provincial finance agencies that distribute grants to cities, counties, and districts. It centralizes award setup, disbursement schedules, and recipient reporting into one workflow, then continuously checks submissions for common compliance failures: missing documentation, mismatched totals, late reports, and spending outside eligible categories. The product focuses on audit readiness: every change is logged, supporting files are versioned, and a single “audit packet” export can be generated per grant or recipient. An AI layer helps classify uploaded documents, extract key fields (invoice date, vendor, amount), and flag anomalies, but the system remains rules-first so it’s defensible to auditors. Realistically, procurement cycles are slow and integrations are painful, so the MVP should target a narrow slice: one grant program, standard templates, and clean exports to existing finance systems.
