SubnetSketch

SubnetSketch is a web app (with optional desktop wrapper) for designing IP addressing plans without living in spreadsheets. You drag-and-drop VPCs/VNETs, sites, VLANs, and subnets onto a canvas, set constraints (CIDR blocks, growth headroom, reserved ranges), and the app auto-allocates non-overlapping subnets with clear rationale. It then generates exports that engineers actually use: CSV for IPAM, Terraform snippets for AWS/Azure, and vendor-neutral JSON. It also runs continuous overlap checks across projects and flags risky designs (too-small masks, no growth buffer, inconsistent naming). This is not magic AI; it’s a traditional rules engine with an AI assistant for explaining tradeoffs and producing human-readable documentation. Realistically, it won’t replace enterprise IPAM suites; it’s a faster front-end for planning and handoff.
