SubScout is a mobile + web app for pick-up and casual leagues that solves the most common failure: not enough players at game time. Organizers post a “need 2 subs” request with sport, skill range, location, start time, and pay/fee details. Nearby players who match availability and preferences get a push alert and can claim a spot with one tap. The app uses lightweight AI to rank candidates by reliability (show-up history), distance, and fit, and it supports optional deposits to reduce flakes. Built-in chat is limited and structured (arrival ETA, jersey color, payment) to avoid endless messaging. After the game, both sides rate attendance (not performance) to build a reputation score. SubScout doesn’t try to replace leagues; it plugs into the messy reality of casual sports where cancellations and no-shows are constant.
