SubSplit

SubSplit is a mobile + web app that automatically splits shared recurring payments (rent, utilities, streaming bundles, family plans) and collects everyone’s share on schedule. Users connect a bank account or card, create a “group” (roommates, couples, families), and assign percentages or fixed amounts per bill. When a bill is due, SubSplit triggers requests, retries failed payments, and sends escalating reminders so the organizer isn’t the bad guy. It supports partial payments, grace periods, and one-tap “cover for now” options with clear IOU tracking. The app also flags upcoming renewals and price increases so groups can cancel or downgrade before getting charged. This is not a magical solution: compliance, payment disputes, and failed collections are real. But for stable groups, it removes constant friction and reduces late fees and relationship stress.
