SubstiCart is a mobile + web AI-assisted grocery companion that turns any recipe or shopping list into reliable plant-based substitutes with the right quantities, cooking behavior, and cost impact. Users paste a recipe URL, photo, or ingredient list, then choose goals (allergy-free, high-protein, low-cost, soy-free). The app outputs 1–3 tested swap options per ingredient (e.g., eggs, dairy, meat, gelatin), explains what will change (texture, browning, rise), and adjusts measurements (grams/cups) so the recipe still works. It also builds a shoppable list by store availability using retailer catalogs and flags “trap swaps” that often fail (e.g., coconut milk vs heavy cream in emulsions). This is not a novelty scanner; it’s a practical substitution engine focused on success rates, not just suggestions.
