SuttaLens

SuttaLens is a web + mobile app for serious Buddhist readers who are tired of hunting through PDFs, scattered websites, and inconsistent translation terminology. It provides a clean, citation-first library of core Buddhist scriptures (starting with a focused canon slice, not “everything”) and the most-used commentaries, with paragraph-level alignment across multiple translations. The killer feature is search that understands Buddhist terms and variant spellings (e.g., dukkha/duḥkha, jhana/dhyāna) and returns results with precise references you can cite in writing or teaching. Users can create study collections, annotate passages, and export quotes with standardized citations. It’s not trying to replace scholarship; it’s trying to remove the friction that wastes hours. Monetization is straightforward: free basic reading, paid “research mode” for advanced alignment, exports, and offline packs.
