SwitchScout is a mobile + web app for distribution utilities and contractors to standardize switchgear and padmount transformer inspections and turn them into actionable maintenance work. Field crews capture guided checklists, photos, and thermal camera snapshots, then the web dashboard flags repeat defects, moisture ingress patterns, and high-risk assets by location and model. It’s not trying to replace your ADMS/EAM; it focuses on the messy gap between “we inspected it” and “we actually fixed it.” The MVP can start with rule-based scoring (e.g., corrosion severity, gasket condition, hotspot delta-T thresholds) and later add AI to auto-tag photos (rust, oil leaks, cracked bushings) and extract nameplate data. The value is faster triage, fewer missed defects, and cleaner audit trails for regulators and insurers. Realistically, sales cycles are slow, but once embedded in field workflows it’s sticky.
