SyncSlate
SyncSlate is a desktop + mobile companion app that automates the most failure-prone part of indie and small-team post: keeping footage, external audio, and on-set notes aligned and searchable. On set, the mobile app captures sound reports, camera roll metadata, and quick notes (including photo of the slate) even when offline. In post, the desktop app ingests media from cards/drives, matches audio to video using waveform + timecode when available, and generates organized bins, labeled takes, and a clean handoff package for Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve via XML/EDL. It also flags problems early: missing audio, drift risk, mismatched frame rates, and duplicate takes. This is not a “creative” editor; it’s a reliability tool that reduces hours of assistant-editor grunt work and prevents expensive reshoots caused by lost context.
