TabCheck

TabCheck is a mobile + web AI-assisted review platform that only highlights “verified visits.” Users upload a receipt, payment confirmation, or reservation check-in, and the app links it to the restaurant and time window. Reviews are then labeled Verified or Unverified, with Verified reviews weighted more heavily in ratings and search. The AI extracts key fields (merchant, date, items, total) and suggests structured tags like portion size, spice level, noise, and wait time to reduce low-effort rants. Restaurants can claim profiles, respond, and see aggregated feedback, but cannot remove Verified reviews. The business model is simple: free for diners; restaurants pay for analytics, competitor benchmarking, and alerts when verified ratings drop. This won’t magically replace Google/Yelp, but it can win a niche where trust matters: expensive dining, tourist traps, and “viral” spots.
