TableTales is a mobile app that overlays lightweight story “missions” onto whatever board or card game kids are already playing (Uno, Checkers, Go Fish, etc.). Parents pick a theme (space rescue, pirate heist, mystery school), the app generates a short narrative arc, and each round it reveals optional challenges like “swap hands to decode the map” or “earn a bonus move by acting out a clue.” It’s designed to reduce boredom and arguments by giving kids a shared goal beyond winning. It includes age filters, session length controls, and a “no-reading” mode with voice narration. The app avoids needing to recognize cards or enforce rules (which is brittle and frustrating); it focuses on pacing, prompts, and cooperative moments. Monetization is a small subscription for new story packs and printable props.
