TabLockr

TabLockr is a desktop-first Pomodoro timer that enforces focus by locking down the specific distraction loops that kill deep work: social sites, news, YouTube rabbit holes, and “just checking” tabs. Instead of generic website blocking, it uses a lightweight browser extension + desktop companion to detect context switching (rapid tab changes, frequent app switching) and triggers a “cooldown” rule: you can’t reopen the same distraction category for X minutes unless you intentionally end the focus session. It also supports short “allowed breaks” with a strict timer and auto-return to your task. The product is brutally simple: start a session, pick a task, and the system keeps you honest. Reporting is minimal but useful: streaks, time saved, and top distraction categories. It’s not trying to be a full productivity suite—just a strict focus enforcer that pairs well with any task manager.
