TabTether

TabTether is a desktop app (Chrome/Edge extension + lightweight companion) that forces “single-threaded” work by limiting you to one approved task workspace at a time. You create a workspace for a task (e.g., “Write report”) and add only the allowed tabs/apps. Everything else is blocked or parked behind a friction wall (timer + reason prompt). It tracks context switching (tab hops, window changes) and shows a brutally simple metric: minutes lost to switching today. Optional AI summarizes what you were doing before a switch and offers a one-line “next action” to resume, but the core value works without AI. It’s not a meditation app; it’s a guardrail for people who keep self-sabotaging with browser sprawl. The MVP focuses on being annoying in the right way, not being “smart.”
