TabTether
TabTether is a desktop + browser companion that reduces attention fragmentation by enforcing “single-task lanes” for knowledge work. Instead of generic pomodoros, it detects when you’re context-switching (rapid tab/app hopping, repeated revisits, short dwell time) and nudges you back with lightweight friction: temporary tab parking, timed unlocks, and a one-click “return to task” breadcrumb. It also creates a session map showing where your attention leaked (sites, apps, time-of-day patterns) and turns that into simple rules you can toggle per project (e.g., allow docs + IDE, block social, cap email checks). It’s not trying to be your therapist; it’s a practical guardrail for people who lose hours to tab chaos. Privacy-first: local processing for activity signals, optional cloud sync for settings across devices.
