TagTrail
TagTrail is a web + mobile app for small conservation teams who already have GPS/satellite/cellular tag data but struggle to clean it, validate it, and turn it into actionable migration insights. It ingests CSV/API feeds from common tag vendors, auto-flags bad fixes (impossible speeds, on-land points for marine species, duplicate timestamps), and generates migration corridors, stopover hotspots, and timing shifts by season. The app focuses on “field-ready outputs”: shareable maps, printable briefings for rangers, and simple alerts when animals approach roads, fences, wind farms, or protected-area boundaries. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional geospatial processing for reliability, plus AI to summarize weekly movement changes and draft stakeholder updates. This is not a public ‘cute animal tracker’; it’s a practical operations tool for under-resourced programs.
