TagTriage

TagTriage is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams bot) that finds and fixes the single biggest blocker to accurate FinOps: bad or missing tags. It connects to AWS, Azure, and GCP, scans resources and billing line items, then produces a “tag health” score by account/subscription/project, team, and service. It detects drift (tags removed), conflicts (two cost centers), and useless tags (free-text variants), and suggests a standardized taxonomy. For remediation, it generates safe, reviewable change plans: bulk tag updates via IaC PRs (Terraform) or cloud-native APIs, plus guardrails (policies) to prevent regressions. It also maps untagged spend to likely owners using signals like IAM principals, repo history, and deployment pipelines, but keeps humans in the approval loop. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps classification and suggestions; deterministic rules enforce compliance.
