TagTriage is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that continuously audits and repairs metadata across your data warehouse and BI layer. It scans schemas, column names, descriptions, owners, sensitivity labels, and usage signals, then flags what’s missing, stale, duplicated, or misleading. The AI assistant proposes concrete fixes: standardized definitions, better column descriptions, consistent PII tags, and ownership assignments—then opens PR-style change requests for approval. It also detects “metadata drift” after dbt migrations or upstream app changes and alerts the right owners with a clear diff. This is not a full data catalog replacement; it’s a focused metadata hygiene tool that plugs into what companies already use. Realistically, the biggest challenge is integrations and trust: you’ll need tight permissioning, audit logs, and a conservative workflow so teams don’t fear automated changes.
