TapChange

TapChange is a web + mobile field app for utilities to modernize voltage regulation workflows around OLTCs, voltage regulators, and capacitor banks. It centralizes tap position history, control mode changes, alarms, and maintenance notes across substations and feeders, then correlates them with SCADA/AMI voltage complaints and power-quality events. Crews can log inspections, oil tests, and contact wear with photos and standardized checklists, while engineers get simple trend dashboards that flag “chatter” (excessive tap operations), stuck mechanisms, and sites drifting out of deadband. The goal is not fancy “digital twin” promises; it’s practical visibility and accountability around assets that quietly drive customer voltage issues and premature failures. Integrations are intentionally narrow: ingest time-series from SCADA historians and export work orders to the utility’s EAM/CMMS. If you can’t integrate, it still works as a lightweight system-of-record for tap operations and maintenance evidence.
