TapFareMap
TapFareMap helps riders figure out the lowest-cost fare option for their actual travel patterns, not generic advice. You connect your transit account (where supported) or import trip history from Apple/Google Wallet receipts, email confirmations, or manual taps. The app simulates what you would have paid under different fare products—single rides, day passes, weekly/monthly passes, fare capping, zone upgrades, and peak/off-peak rules—and then recommends what to buy next week/month. It also flags common overpayment traps like buying a monthly pass when you only ride 3 days/week, crossing a zone boundary unnecessarily, or missing employer pre-tax benefits. Realistically, coverage will start with a handful of agencies where data access is feasible, and expand city-by-city. The goal is simple: reduce wasted fare spend with clear, auditable math.
