TapTrace

TapTrace is a web app (with lightweight mobile SDKs) that captures interaction “breadcrumbs” instead of heavy session replays: key taps, navigation events, form errors, rage taps, backtracks, and time-to-action—then reconstructs a step-by-step flow timeline tied to screens/components. Product and UX teams can compare intended vs. actual paths, see where users hesitate, and quantify friction per step. It’s designed for teams that find full session recording tools expensive, noisy, or risky for privacy. TapTrace focuses on actionable interaction design signals: mis-taps near targets, repeated opens/closes, scroll depth stalls, and failed gestures. It includes a simple “Fix Suggestions” panel that flags likely interaction issues (tiny hit targets, confusing affordances, error copy) and links them to evidence. It won’t replace deep qualitative research, but it will make day-to-day interaction debugging faster and more defensible with data.
