TargetProof is a web app (with optional lightweight desktop agent) that turns science-based target setting into an evidence-first workflow. Instead of promising “one-click SBTi,” it focuses on the unglamorous part companies fail at: traceable data, assumptions, version control, and audit-ready documentation. Users import activity data and emissions factors, map them to scopes/categories, and build target pathways with clear methodology notes. Every number is linked to a source file, owner, and approval trail, producing a defensible “target dossier” for internal sign-off, assurance, and SBTi submission. An AI assistant helps draft methodology narratives, flags inconsistent assumptions, and suggests missing evidence—but it never invents data. The product is realistic: it doesn’t replace consultants or full carbon accounting suites; it makes targets verifiable and repeatable so teams stop rebuilding the same work every year.
