TariffLedger

TariffLedger is a web app (with optional Excel add-in) that helps energy equipment buyers and sellers quantify how tariff changes alter landed cost, pricing, and margin—fast enough to use in weekly pricing meetings. Users upload a simple BOM or SKU list, map items to HS codes, and set origin/destination lanes. The app pulls current duty rates, trade remedies, and announced changes, then produces scenario-based cost deltas and recommended price adjustments by customer segment. It also generates an audit trail: what code was used, why, and what evidence supports it—because misclassification is where companies get burned. This is not a magic “AI will solve trade compliance” tool; it’s a practical calculator + workflow that reduces spreadsheet chaos and makes tariff exposure visible to finance and sales.
