TariffPilot

TariffPilot helps households with time-of-use or dynamic electricity pricing reduce bills without buying new hardware. Users connect their utility account (or upload bills) to detect their tariff, peak windows, and likely cost drivers. The app then builds a simple “when to run what” plan for common loads (laundry, dishwasher, EV charging, water heating) and sends reminders based on tomorrow’s price periods. If the user has a smart thermostat or EV charger, TariffPilot can optionally automate schedules via integrations. It also tracks estimated savings versus a baseline and flags when a user’s current plan is a bad fit, suggesting cheaper tariffs where available. This is not magic: savings depend on flexible loads and accurate pricing data. But for the growing number of households on TOU rates, even small behavior shifts can produce consistent savings.
