TariffPilot

TariffPilot is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that calculates true landed cost—duties, taxes, brokerage, de minimis rules, and shipping surcharges—before you buy, quote, or ship internationally. Users paste a product URL or upload a SKU list, and the app classifies items with suggested HS codes, flags restricted goods, and produces a defensible cost breakdown per destination country. It also generates customer-facing quotes and internal margin reports so merchants stop losing money on “surprise” fees and failed deliveries. This is an AI + traditional app: AI assists with product-to-HS classification and document parsing, while deterministic rules handle tax/tariff math and audit trails. Realistically, the product wins by being accurate enough to trust, fast enough to use daily, and simple enough for non-experts. The MVP focuses on a few high-volume corridors (e.g., US/EU/UK/CA/AU) and expands as data quality improves.
