TariffTamer

TariffTamer is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps small-to-mid commercial sites reduce peak demand charges using the data they already have: interval utility bills, smart meter exports, or BMS/EMS CSVs. It detects when demand spikes happen, identifies the few repeatable drivers (HVAC pre-cool, kitchen ramp-up, EV charging, compressed air cycling), and turns them into simple, time-bound operating playbooks. The app focuses on “no-capex” actions first—schedule tweaks, staggered starts, and setpoint windows—then estimates savings under the user’s actual tariff (including demand ratchets). It also provides a lightweight alerting system: “You’re on track to set a new monthly peak in 30 minutes.” This is not a magic AI autopilot; it’s a practical decision tool that makes peak management understandable and repeatable for non-energy experts.
