TariffTuner is a web + mobile app that helps small commercial sites and multifamily buildings run behind-the-meter batteries (and optional solar) to minimize demand charges and time-of-use energy costs. Users connect their utility interval data and battery/inverter telemetry, then the app simulates savings under different control strategies and flags when the battery is being underused or cycling wastefully. It provides a simple “next 24 hours” dispatch plan and alerts when tariffs, peak windows, or demand spikes are likely to cause expensive bills. The product is realistic: it doesn’t promise perfect forecasting or magic arbitrage—just consistent, measurable bill reduction and operational visibility. It also generates finance-ready monthly reports showing avoided kW demand, kWh shifted, battery cycles, and estimated degradation cost, so operators can justify settings to ownership and avoid finger-pointing between installers, OEMs, and facility teams.
