TariffTuner

TariffTuner is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps small-to-mid commercial sites shift flexible loads—HVAC pre-cooling, water heating, refrigeration defrost cycles, EV charging—based on real utility tariffs and demand charges. Users upload interval meter data (or connect via Green Button/utility exports), enter basic equipment constraints, and the app produces a weekly “shift plan” with expected savings and risk flags. It focuses on what most tools ignore: demand charge avoidance, not just time-of-use energy rates. It also generates simple operator-friendly schedules and alerts when a site is about to set a new monthly peak. This is not magic: it won’t control your building automatically unless you already have a BMS/EMS. Instead, it gives realistic, auditable recommendations and tracks whether operations followed them, so savings claims don’t collapse under scrutiny.
