TaskHandoff
TaskHandoff is a desktop app (macOS/Windows) that reduces the hidden cost of context switching by forcing lightweight “handoffs” whenever you change tasks. When you switch apps or projects, it prompts a 10–30 second capture: what you were doing, next step, blockers, and where to resume. It then auto-creates a resume card with deep links to files, tabs, tickets, and the last clipboard snippet. A timeline view shows your day as task segments and calculates switching overhead, so you can see which meetings, chats, or tools are fragmenting your focus. It integrates with Slack, Google Calendar, and Jira to detect likely task boundaries and suggest a handoff at the right moment. It’s not a magic focus cure; it’s a practical system to stop losing minutes every time you get pulled away.
