TasteTrace
TasteTrace builds a personal “taste profile” across movies, TV, music, podcasts, and books by asking short, specific preference questions (pace, tone, themes, humor style, endings, taboo topics) and by learning from what you skip, finish, and rewatch. Instead of pushing whatever is trending, it outputs a compact taste fingerprint and matches you to content with clear reasons (“slow-burn mystery + low gore + character-driven + dry humor”). The app also supports “mood modes” (comfort, challenge, background, date night) so recommendations change with context. A shareable profile link lets friends compare overlap and generate “safe picks” for groups. Realistically, this is not a magic discovery engine: it will only feel great if it integrates with at least one major platform (e.g., Spotify or Letterboxd) and focuses on one vertical first (movies/TV) before expanding.
