TaxLotPro is a web + desktop trading companion that overlays tax-lot intelligence on top of your existing broker execution. It ingests fills from supported brokers and normalizes positions into true tax lots (FIFO/LIFO/specific ID), then shows after-tax P&L, wash-sale risk, and “sell these lots” recommendations before you place an order. The goal isn’t to replace your broker; it’s to prevent the common, expensive mistake of trading blindly and discovering tax damage months later. The MVP focuses on U.S. equities and options, with export-ready reports for CPAs and easy reconciliation against 1099-B data. It includes alerts for wash-sale windows, lot-level break-even, and scenario previews for partial closes. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps categorize transactions, detect anomalies, and explain tax impacts in plain English, but calculations remain deterministic and auditable.
