TaxPulse is a web + mobile app (traditional app with light AI) that helps self-employed people and side-hustlers avoid underpayment penalties by turning messy income into a simple, current estimated-tax plan. Users connect bank accounts and payment platforms (Stripe, PayPal, Square) and the app categorizes income/expenses, flags deductible spend, and estimates quarterly payments for federal + state. It pushes “pay-by” reminders, generates a one-page payment summary, and deep-links to IRS/State payment portals. The AI component is limited to explaining why a transaction was categorized a certain way and suggesting deductible categories with confidence scores—no magical “we guarantee your taxes” claims. It also supports “safe harbor” mode (prior-year based) for users who want conservative payments. The goal is not full tax filing; it’s staying current, reducing surprises, and making quarterly payments boring and predictable.
