TextTradition
TextTradition is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for students and pastors who want to do basic textual criticism and transmission history work without paying for heavyweight academic suites. Users can build a “witness set” for a passage (Greek/Hebrew plus major translations), attach manuscript or edition references, and record variant readings with confidence notes and citations. The app generates a clean apparatus-style view and a shareable report for papers or teaching. An AI assistant can help normalize user-entered variants, suggest likely alignment groups, and flag missing citation fields—but it does not invent evidence and always requires sources. This is not a replacement for critical editions; it’s a practical workflow tool that turns scattered notes into a structured, reusable dataset.
