TheaterPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps independent distributors and exhibitors forecast box office and optimize showtimes using near-real-time signals instead of delayed, massaged reporting. It ingests ticketing feeds from participating theaters, public showtime listings, social trend velocity, and historical comps to produce demand curves by market and title. The app flags underperforming locations early, recommends schedule swaps (screen count, showtime blocks), and estimates the revenue impact of moving a film to different auditoriums or weeks. It also includes a “distribution sanity check” module that compares your film’s trajectory to similar releases and highlights when marketing spend is likely being wasted. This is an AI + traditional analytics app: AI for forecasting and anomaly detection, traditional dashboards for operational decisions. Realistically, adoption hinges on getting enough theaters/ticketing partners to make the data useful.
