ThermoAudit is a mobile + web AI app that verifies whether your thermostat schedules and HVAC behavior are actually reducing energy costs, using real utility bills and local weather—not just optimistic “savings” claims. Users connect their utility account (or upload PDFs), enter basic home details, and optionally link a smart thermostat. The app builds a simple baseline model of expected usage and flags anomalies: short-cycling, runaway heating/cooling, schedule conflicts, and “setback” strategies that backfire in poorly insulated homes. It then recommends specific, testable changes (e.g., adjust recovery time, reduce temperature swings, lock out auxiliary heat) and tracks results over the next billing cycle. It also generates a landlord/contractor-ready report with evidence, so users can justify service calls or upgrades. This is not a replacement for HVAC diagnostics; it’s a practical, data-driven audit that catches waste early.
