ThermoGuard

ThermoGuard is a mobile + web app that monitors reptile/amphibian enclosures using inexpensive BLE/Wi‑Fi temperature and humidity sensors, then alerts owners when conditions drift into dangerous ranges. Users set species-specific thresholds (or choose vetted presets), define day/night schedules, and get push/SMS alerts for heater failures, stuck thermostats, heat spikes, or drying-out events. The app provides simple trend charts, “time out of range” scoring, and a weekly husbandry report that’s easy to share with a vet or rescue. It also includes a setup wizard that helps place probes correctly and catches common mistakes (probe too close to heat source, wrong basking gradient assumptions). This is not a glamorous idea, but it prevents real losses and reduces anxiety—especially for people running multiple enclosures.
