ThermoTrace
ThermoTrace is a web + mobile app (traditional + AI) that turns messy ocean-circulation data into decision-ready maps for people who actually need to act on it. It blends near-real-time sea-surface temperature, altimetry-derived geostrophic currents, and wind-driven surface current models into a single “nowcast” view, then flags actionable anomalies: eddy formation, current reversals, and unusual transport along common routes. The AI layer doesn’t pretend to “predict the ocean” from scratch; it focuses on summarization, uncertainty labeling, and route-specific impact notes (e.g., “expect +1.2 kt assist” or “higher drift risk near shelf break”). Users can save corridors (shipping lanes, race courses, fishing grounds) and receive alerts when circulation patterns cross thresholds they set. The product is honest about limits: coastal complexity and sparse observations mean forecasts can be wrong, so it always shows confidence and data freshness.
