ThermoTriage helps homeowners and small contractors decide which sustainability retrofits to do first—based on real-world payback, not marketing claims. Users enter basic home details (location, size, fuel type, utility rates) and optionally upload past utility bills. The app generates a ranked retrofit plan (air sealing, attic insulation, heat pump, windows, smart controls) with estimated cost ranges, energy savings, comfort impact, carbon reduction, and payback uncertainty. It also flags “bad ROI” upgrades for that specific home and climate zone, and suggests low-cost diagnostic steps (DIY checks or a blower-door test) before spending big. The goal is to stop people from wasting money on the wrong upgrade order. It’s not a full energy model; it’s a decision tool that’s fast, transparent, and conservative with assumptions, so users trust it more than glossy calculators.
